Best placement for voltage meter?

I have a slide out ashtray with a built in cigaret lighter. Would I get accurate voltage readings in reference to what my AMP is getting if I hooked a voltage monitor in place of that cigaret lighter?

BTW I NEED 5-1/4" Mids and 3/4" Tweets bad, anyone know a SQ brand to look for?

maybe a couple tenths worth. some just wire the voltmeter into the radio and use a multimeter at the amp to measure it during their SPL runs. if you dont wanna do all that then just wire it into the amp you wanna know the voltage on.

If the wire is thin and long enough, it could add up to 1ohm if resistance, obscuring my reading D: Whats a good gauge to run?

thats why you adjust it accordingly. have your mulitmeter hooked up to it, and adjust the voltmeter as needed to it.
