Best place to order HO Alt

I have a 2004 impala and my stock alt is only 105 amps. its good enough to just push a small amp for my speakers. but i want to upgrade my stock alt so i can add subs.

so does anyone know where the best place to get a good HO Alt?

so far my top choice is DB electrical.

i ordered my alt from DC. decently priced except the wait time for me is slow. i hear they usually are better than this, but im being patient and waiting....only been three weeks so far. but i hear great things about DCpower. have you tried mechman or any of the other guys?

no im still looking for a good price and high output. but i cant seem to find an alt that is more than 220 amps that fits my car. ill look at DC right now.

220 should be more than enough. how many amps are you pulling with your current setup?

DC... you might can find better deals or get other alts quicker but if you want quality and durabilty and something thats going to put out or more than what it says just go with DC

with the current setup i just have a single amp power 4 speakers so my estimate is about 70 amps. im just waiting for my tax money to come in and im hopefully going to put in work on the car. and also if i upgrade the alt to an HO alt will i need to add a 2nd battery or will one due? im not looking to go into competitions just get some good car shaking bass.
