Best place to mount amps?

I'm going to be installing two amps in my car. The box i will use won't take up much room. Should I mount them to the box or should I mount them the back of the rear seats, that fold down. Would overheating be a problem in the trunk attatched to the box, I guess is what I'm getting at. The amps are Sony 600 watt and Pioneer 300 watt. Thanks.

overheating should not be a problem as long as the amps/box aren't pushed up against the back of the back seat completely, leave a few inches between the amp fins and any obstructions for air flow purposess. Air does flow pretty well through the trunk

Air underneath the amps?

Using washers or spacers or something? Or am I totally off base?

on the box is better but just becareful that its stable or if you can have an AMP mount frame attached underneath your back shelf that will be better. i just dont advice the back of seat.. thought here is really no problem to that!
