you could easily use 12 or some good 14 gauge

does it matter that i'll be running @ 1 Ohm, therefore making any resistance more pronounced?

somebody said this somewhere, that he was using 10 ga cause he was running one ohm.

ps to restate: 2 type r's together with an amp that has 1500 rms @ 1 ohm

since i won't need the full power of the amp i guess the wire wont be a problem, the guy was only worried about low resistance because he was trying to squeeze the most from his amp.

it that a valid assumption?

I use the same RCA, they are really nice.

For rings I get them at the local battery place for $1.00 each for 1/0 copper rings, unless you are worried about them being gold plated which I could give a shit less when that shit flakes off in a month
