Hey guys i just bought a 2003 Dodge Ram quad cab and ive benn doing car audio for a few years now....COUNTLESS hours just looking around on the internet reading and researching this sub and that amp, its value, how its said to preform. Ive also had about 5 different personal setups so ive had some personnal experience too. But im building a fiberglass box, should be 1-1.5 cubes per chamber 2-3 cubes total and i dont know if i wanna port them yet (opinions with sub references). Anyways my question is..What pair of 10 or 12" subwoofers should i run off of a Cadence txa-1000d amp that would be the loudest, have a good looking cone(no big decals or designs like memphis etc lol), and retain great SQ (very important to me). I want this to be very functional as well as have a show-type look, hence the cone preference. I would be very thankful for some input. ALSO (Side Question lol) I was looking at the RE Audio SE series any opinions?

i really would like to run some 12s because i have 2 10w7s and the highs and mids are reall nice but they lack the rumble when it comes to the deep bass? they are in a 2 cube ported box..any reason why thats happening. i know the box isnt very good but still. any 12" sub recommendations?

the only reason you would not get low end from the w7 is enclosure tuning. try a lower tuned enclosure for what you have, and if there is a SSF, turn it down.

10s can definitely handle low bass. I only run a single 10'' ported and it gets as low any 12'' sealed setups I've heard. It all comes down to what enclosure you have it in.

It's happening because you need to setup a lowpass filter.

You should NEVER have highs and mids coming from your subs.

its not really highs and mids it just the higher and middle bass frequencys..not a true high and mid like on a speaker. also when i turn it up loud the cones on the w7s sound like vibrating paper when they hit a higher note??? i hate the distortion i get from them....it has to be something i have wrong in the setup judging from the reviews i read on them.. im open to admitting mistakes because ultimatly i just want a clean loud system and if you can tell me what im doing wrong ill listen lol. i have a rockford fosgate t5002 powering them bridged at 1.5 ohms. the amp is rated at 500rms bridged at 2 and truely puts out a lil over 1000rms bridged at 2 as stated on rockford testing results. just telling you the amp and its power mabye thats what it is?
