I've had these running for about a month now, and man have I just fallen in love with these little things. They're in a 4ft^3 box tuned to 28hz, and they just sound great on everything I throw at them...from Zeppelin to bass tracks, these subs just fill every specific goal that I'd want in a sub setup. They're not peaky at all, and sound like they're a lot flatter from 25-60 than any other setup I've had.

sweet setup, cant wait to see it with 8. i'm already thinking about switching out my 18s for 4 15s, the ixls look like they'd do well with the power and space i already have.

I'm amazed at how little power they need to get moving. They're just being ran off 250 watts a piece right now. With the box I have planned for all 8, they'll have 1.5ft^3 each, and I can probably get away with 400-500 watts a piece.

I would like to do a pair of 18 IXLs sealed off a Sundown 3000d at 2 ohms, or something like a Viper 2500.1 or a Kicker 2500.1 at 2ohm, but you got me rethinking the power.

Yeah, headroom is always nice...I just can't afford it right now. I'm thinking about using a sundown 3000 at .5ohm for all 8. I like the fact that I won't have to worry about thermally damaging the coil...I just need to make sure I don't tear them apart mechanically.

I don't really have anything within the last 5 years or so that has good bass lines in it. Everything that has good bass nowadays is just junk for actual musical enjoyment, IMO. And all of my older rap cd's with good bass are scratched to hell and won't play.
