best overall amp for two 15' 2005 L5s.

i wouldn't....

just because it's a super efficient, and super reliable amp, so why take your chances?

deal with a bit less power, and be rewarded with years of usage.....

Hifonics BX1605D(Current amp) VS Kicker SX1200($428) VS Kicker ZX1500 ($418)

All of these are 1 ohm stable except the ZX1500 but I have heard from numerous people that they can run 1 ohm all day every day.

Two 15 inch dual 4 ohm L5s.

Which one?

Well, i am sorry this is not helping you out much but why do you want an SPL setup? I had 2 12" L5s in a prefab ported enclosure pushing one of them with an A8000T about 750rms and a sony xplod 1000max(dunno the rms) on one of them. This thing made the driver and passanger's vision very blurry even to the point where it is hard to drive because you cant see. Well needless to say I am switching to SQ. Are you competing or just want an insane daily driver?

Its a daily driver but I will enter some of the comps around me.

id say stop *****n and keep ur hifonics,,,, u have 2 15 l5's it aint like you got top of the line subs.. id be more woried about ur subs first then the 1600 brutus that prolly gives you 1400 rms....

lol...sounds like your saying hifonics is quite a bit higher up on the scale than kicker. I know L5s are the single best sub out there but they are a good ways up the chart.

As for the Hifonics to Kicker. Kicker will produce more power, as Kicker underrates their amps, and Hifonics overrates their BXi line. I have heard that the SX has amazing processing. But that deal for 2 zx1000.1's is awesome. Can the L5's handle that power?

Yeah im pretty much going to get rid of the hifonics amp, mostly because I want to get all kicker. I really like the SX amp but I dont know if its worth the 100 extra bucks for the digital display over the kx1200.1. That is really the only difference between the two right? I decided not to go with the two zx1000.1 route.

well the zx1500.1 is winning so far. Its 2 ohm stable though.
