Best MUSICAL sub for <$150??

Sealed, pure SQ. Thinking an MJ-18M or used IDQ-15

Must be able to sound good on 500-600 watts RMS, with any type of music. Not looking for a low end beast or something that gets piss loud.

IDQ, or I've only heard good things about the Dayton HO.

If you are just going for SQ, you may want to consider (or at least try) ported real low. It may give you better response than sealed. Do you know how to work WinISD? You can play around with that to see what should give you the best response (although in real world applications it doesn't always work out as planned.) Still good to get an idea though.

I prefer sealed, but I always try both boxes whenever I buy a sub.

I want atleast a 15" Jordan. I'm really leaning toward the MJ.

who says otherwise? i just spent some time reading reviews on DIYMA and that thing is praised over there. i didn't see one bad thing about the IDQ.

Afraid? Hell, they LOVE being ported. My two older IDQ 10's sounded fantastic ported low. All my buddies wanted to buy those subs and box, even though nobody had heard of ID before.
