Best material for custom speaker terminals

I'm going to get my buddy at work to machine me a set of custom terminals for my enclosure.

They're just going to be one piece. 12 awg holes on both ends with set screws to retain the wire, just like any distro block or fuse.

What would be the best material? Brass? Copper? Other?

Copper will work the best I'd assume, unless you want to machine them out of pure gold. Why not just use bolts and ring terminals?
