I still think the eclipse 3403/3413 is your best bet for features and what not....other wise save some money and get an alpine 9807.

I would go with the Alpine. I personally prefer the look/usability of Alpine, and also don't like the way mp3 cds operate on Pioneers. It would be worth it to me for an extra $30.

Bummer you only have these two choices though. I would recommend something different.

Although Poineer makes pretty decent head units I would go with Alpine.

You can't beat Alpine head units period.

I have the 7897 and I wouldn't trade it for anything out on the market right now.

personally i'd go with the 9811 hand down. Messed around with the pioneer b4 and i also didn't like the mp3 navigation in it and just...i liked the alpine overall better. peace

mp3 nav is way better on the Alpine. Great build quality on both units, but the alpine also can search and load mp3's faster
