BEST Headphones? (yes I searched)

Bose is WAY overpriced. Those 150$ triport sound worse than my sennheiser 212pros. The quiet comforts are a joke, for 300$ they should at least sound decent, but they dont, way too muddy and murky.

Everything else is crap.
I wouldn't call Grado RS-1's "crap", but to each their own //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The grado stuff has a very unique sound signature that you either love or dont. They are either impactful and fun, or thin and trebly depending how you look at it. I like the laid back sound of senns more. Im about to pick up a pair of HD555's for x-mas. Hopefully they'll be good unamped.

Yep, sennheiser hd655's kick ***.
wtf is a hd655?? dont you mean hd650? either way, yes. But you have to wary, because with headphones this detailed, any flaw in the recordings or from your source or headphone amp will be very noticeable.
