i've heard of people using several different types of adhesives to bond spiders and surrounds to baskets when re-coning their subwoofers. i'm finally getting around to getting my two MTs re-coned and was wondering what the people with experience here prefer to use...

thanks

i bought some 5 minute epoxy and ****, this stuff blows... i mixed it in the plastic tray it came with and applied it with the little stick around the spider (pain in the ***). when i started to apply some to the motor the epoxy in the tray was hardening (less than 2 minutes after mixing) so i quickly placed the vc spider and surround onto the motor without even having time to glue the surround to the basket...

now i'm letting the glue set for a new minutes before i work my way applying it around the surround...

some CA glue in a squeeze bottle would have worked great... **** this epoxy shit...

Use the quick-mix epoxy with the mixing tube... just squeeze and it mixes as it dispenses through the tube //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif No worries about messy spreading or curing in the plastic.

thanks... let me hop in my time machine now....

edit: i can't find it anywhere online, and they didn't have it at autozone when i went there today... where do you get yours at?
