Best for the $$

The best driver you have listed IMO is the Peerless SLS 6.5. They are known to have geat midbass output. With them you have to keep in mind that they are designed as a midbass driver. If you look at the frequency response they start to roll off around 800hz or so, this may create a problem matting a tweeter with them in a 2-way.

The Eminence speaker has an Fs 118hz so if you don't mind having to cross them over at about 150hz and up they might be ok. Do to the Fs I would cross them of the list.

So I would be looking at either the Focal or ID speakers you have listed. The Goldwoods could be a gem but it is really a shot in the dark on them.

I was leaning towards focal. I just didn't want to jump to early on them and end up with something that's of less quality then my current DD's. I'f anyone has any other brands that I should look into plz let me know.

If you could find a set of Hertz HSK 165 mids or JBL 608GTI MKII mids would be somthing to look at. You might check ebay for the older HSK165 or 608GTI components sets as both can be had for under $200 bucks. Might check with dealers see if they have just some mids or could order some for you. I prefer both over the Focal's.

I have some brand new, never powered, CDT CL-6Es. I'd do $75 shipped for them.

Here's a look:

I haven't heard the CDT's in a few years, but those seem to be a good deal for $75.
They're $90 + s&h just about everywhere. Mine are brand new and I'm willing to take $75 shipped. I think it's reasonable. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
