Brian Bottler works like having 10,000 IRC clients open at the same time using all different networks (I use the IRCspy type sites to find the most fequently used IRC networks like Dalnet, Efnet, ... and a few others I cant remember at the moment) and I just plug all those IP's into Bottler's database. Then I just let bottler run for a good 4 hours, and it makes a note in its database of every single instance of IRCbot offerings. Then after the database fills up with data, you get a huge list of wares/movies/music that you can filter thru and find what you want. I dont know how many times ive left the application running for a week, and came back with a 100 gig hard drive filled with zipped movies/files/whatever and spent 2 days just going thru it....its a no BS application, but its also not easy to navigate like lets say....limewire is. You have to know some advance knowledge of the IRC to get around and to understand whats going on.
the downside - Brian Bottler/Blotter is not a very easy to aquire program. There have been only a couple of updates to it ever, and I couldnt find a place to even download it from anymore. However, I managed to score a copy of the original VB files so I can complile my own versions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
