Best dual 12" bandpass sub box?

I am pretty new to the whole car stereo game. And I have been reading up on it a bit and it seems as if the bandpass offers the most "punch" or "hard hits" normally.

I listen to techno/hip-hop so I am looking for the loudest, hardest hits I can get. I plan on getting two 12" kickers or two 12" Phoenix subs in there, each having around 300-400 watts RMS to each sub.

I am just curious as to what kind of box I might be looking for, and brand of box I might be looking for.

I am also on a pretty tight budget so the cheaper the better.

what BS have you been reading? prefab bandpass boxes are made to look cool, not sound good or hit "hard" buld yourself a proper ported box...if you want stupid loud, buy a kicker l7 and give it 1000 rms in a big ported box.....

oh and what amp will you be using?

Pre-fab bandpasses are designed to hit hard in a certain frequency range to make the consumer believe its an overall loud system.

no pre-fab bandpass box is worth a chit. actually no pre-fab box is worth a chit... just build your own ported box.
Sub-zero and several other high-end enclosure makers would disagree with you there. Just because its 'pre-fab' doesn't mean its garbage.

Remember, pre-fab means pre-fabricated, but not necessarily a generic one sub fits all design. It can be pre-fab for a specific sub, like the sub-zero boxes for Brahma's. Very nice boxes.

The reason pre-fab bandpass boxes **** so bad is because they are the enclosure type most dependant on the speaker specs when designing the proper enclosure size/tuning/etc. The least dependant is the sealed type of course, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with a 'pre-fab' sealed box made of the right materials and to the proper volume. Dont confuse the pre-fab bandpass stigma with ALL pre-fab boxes.
