Best deck for +/- $300.00

I was reading about the Pioneer 880PRS, but I am having no luck finding it online, plus I'd like to know what other options I have for a new deck in this price range, My Alpine 9823 just is not cutting it any longer. My setup is in the sig.

880PRS is probably the best bang for the buck deck out there, much more flexible than others in that price range.

They can be found for cheap on eBay.

I was going to steer away from Alpine this time as I read this:

From my experience with Alpine head units, as soon as you start going above 25 on the volume you start getting a clipped signal, on both the internal amp and the preouts.

And that is exactly what happens on my deck and I never realized it untill I read that.

Well, set your gains than at 25/35 on the volume !

That's a pretty lame reason to stay away from Alpine.

I also agree that a used 9835 is the best bang for the buck HU out there. I just sold two of them.

Well everyone is saying that now, but no one is giving any specific reason? I need to know why I should buy this over that, if you want to sell your equiptment to me you have to prove to me why its better!

i put an 880 in a few days ago, very nice deck, clean signal and good sonics.zero complaints about it. it has no 'bling' just great sound.$305 to my door.
