I usually date girls on the pill and just ask beforehand if they have anything. I trust them enough that if I were to get something life is too short for me to have regret my risk.

If I know a girl isn't on the pill or has something (latter hasn't happened except once..the dreaded herp) I go for the handful of Magnums in my drawer. I just hate condoms but even worse is a super tight *** condom. It's not like I'm hung like an elephant or anything but I'm definitely above average enough to feel like I'm cramming my hog into a water balloon with some of those other brands.

I use the condom + birth control strategy. If there is a better way to mitigate risk that isn't abstiance, I am for it. I considered pulling out as well, but I doubt I find a girl very understanding. My gf is not.
