I'm looking for a really good pair of 6.5" co-axials for about $150, and no more then $200. I am looking for a power handling of about 100 RMS. I have heard great things about the Focals, (Both Polyglass - 165 CV1, and Access1 - 165 CA1), but I have also heard the tweeters are harsh. I do not want anything harsh. I just want clear, nice sound. Thanks for the opinions.

Focal speakers are harsh to some people and perfect for others.

I'd say focal but please whatever you do go out to a sound shop and listen for yourself. Choosing what fits your ear is the best bet when you get into high SQ speakers such as focal.

I'd also recommend anything made by eclipse. Here's a link to some good sounding speakers that I've heard myself.

Good luck.

Alot of people on here seem to like rainbow's. Unfortunantly, I have never heard them. I would look at them if you can. Also, Take a look at the Polk momo's. They are some swet sounding speakers. I just put in a pair for my front stage. I am very happy with them. They can handle a good amount of power as well.

I did a thread a week ago or so. Poll picked Focals over Revs. Someone commented that teh REVS distort much sooner then focals. However, I have a friend who can get me pioneer stuff really really cheap.
its all a power game with those two coaxials. i can tell you that the revs are the best coaxial i have ever used/heard/know of. and i have had a ton of them. they are the loudest i have ever heard actually.

Polk Momos look freakin sweet too
one day in the shop, i heard in three different boats with all the same amps, the zapco coaxials, momos, and revs. the zapcos sounded the best, and the revs were right there with them, but got slightly louder.

Im going to be powering with a PG xenon X100.2 amp, so im also looking for a little more power handeling then 60RMS.
i know a guy running a c2k 9.0 on his pioneer revs, i think he has like 16 all together, which comes out to 137.5 if that amp is putting out 2200 rms like it claims, but they have been known to put out over 4k watts rms.

do they sound good with that much power tho? Thats the only thing im worried about on the REVS. Like I said, I can get them for a very nice price, but I dont know if over powering them by 40 watts is still going to sound good. Then again, ill be upgrading from some old pioneer dual cone speakers, which I'm feeding about 60 RMS, and there rated at 20 RMS, and they sound pretty decent (for being what they are)
