Doing an install in a 2003 1500 z71 silverado. Got a custom made box... .96 cubes each chamber (2 chambers) downfiring under the seat. This is an extended cab truck. Will be receiving two hifonics 1605d amps.

The choice...either two 12" type r's or two kicker l7's

which will overall will have more output to ear (not on mic, this is definetly not comp worthy)

This is not another type r vs kicker thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I know the type r's perform better in a sealed enclosure compared to l7's...but which overall will have more output?

I had a l7 in a 4.5 cube vented, but never heard them sealed

i doubt you even have the mounting depth for a type r. can you post any pics of the box? there are some very important things that truck boxes need to sound good, especially ones that are under rear seats that are downfiring. are you going to have to raise the seat at all? i take it this is an extended cab?

all depending on the power he has for them, i would almost say treo. i have yet to come across one of their woofers that i dont like. i think they are a great product. it is unfortunate that they arent more mainstream because if they were i think you would see a lot more of them. they arent even big throughout the forums.
