cc hands down in all but decks but neither carries really great decks imo some will say alpine flipped the scales but i know an l5 can sound louder and at least sound as good as a type r and a kicker component isnt a slouch compaired to the type r comps either...but as brought up in other posts why does it matter? lol
And the price is ++ and I hate the sales people. Some of em are nice, but they all want you to buy the stuff they want. A local shop would have better service with people that care what your going for. (Probably more product knowledge too)
CC just got kickers in and for an L5 10inch they wanted 249.99$ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/waycrazy.gif.f4a380c3f94043939fd369defd9e6be2.gif
If you have no other choice but these two, go with CC. It is easy to return things there, no hassle. Takes an act of congress to get best buy to give an exchange, don;t even think about a refund. Couple years ago, my dad bought me a kenwood HU there for X-mas. A few weeks later it was advertised for $30 cheaper. They refunded the balance no questions asked. Didn't have to show a receipt or anything. Yeah they both **** but CC has better customer service
retail for retail a local shop isnt suppost to cut "deals" on kicker as its price protected and a reason why it isnt warranteed over the internet unless its authorized. i remember selling pioneer premiere to a friend who had a deck "stolen" so i thought i was doing him a favor and got him a deck cheap he took that reciept over to the other pioneer premier dealer and i got bizzzitched at for 20 min. needless to say i stopped being nice and its a joke to say the least i even got yelled at 1 time for a whole set up (2 grand worth) and sold a deck for $1.60 under l.a.p. lol
Yup, and with no manufacturer warranty and no guarantee or knowledge of the products history (i.e. it's likely B-stock). Plus, when you buy local, if you have any problems you can exchange it right there in the store and usually walk out the door with another brand new item.....no waiting on shipping there/shipping back (if the online store will even allow an exchange), etc etc. Wow, what a wonderful deal the internet is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
There's absolutely nothing wrong with buying retail. If you are smart and have even minute negotiation skills, you don't have to pay full MSRP at shops/BB/CC.
