So my memphis is on the fritz and ampmedics steve has never heard of these problems, especially since he serviced it twice in a week(wouldnt work on my end so i sent back) and at this point i give up. Im Looking for somthing to push 450-650rms @ 4ohms, dont matter if its 1ohm stable. Will go to my JBL p1022, will be upgrading beginning of year to somthing 600-800rms or so. So around 650-1000 @ 2 or 1 i guess. But for the JBL, i dont care what anyone says. It sounds better at 4ohms, ive tryed 3 amps and they ALL sound better at 4. Gets nearly as loud but sounds SOOO much better. Would it be better to go used? I just have really crap luck (as stated above lol) so i hate getting used stuff. Looking to spend 150-175max, i just want a good amp i can use for a few years lol

Ive been looking at the MB quarts ONXY line, anyone have feedback on the 1500s?

Last question lol, do mono blocks really sound better on subs? Or would a nice 2ch do just as good a job

I would buy off this forum so much better then a pawn shop. Just make sure you are buying from some one with good word in community. I have bought all my items from this forum and they all work exactly as stated. Most people here will help you out.

cool cool, yea i had an AP APSM-1300 and i thought it did the job good. But i heard MB quart is better quality, so i think i may go that route this time. unless i fin somthing nice from a creditable person on here lol

I would love a JL but that would be too much

The common difference between mono blocks, and multi channel amps, is that mono blocks are typically Class D amplifiers. Where as multi channels are often Class A/B amplifiers. Class A/B amps are typically capable of producing cleaner power, but sacrifice a lot of efficiency. Class D amps don't make as "clean" power, but are much more efficient. Subwoofers typically play in the sub 100hz frequency range and that loss of signal quality is often inaudible. The increased efficiency is great for subwoofers because they usually require much more power. Class A/B amps are good for full range speakers, as they have less distortion, but are much less efficient and put out less power.

Yea i got a the punch 6002, its not the old waffle one but its an 04model i believe(chrom covers on each side), suppose to be better then the new black ones. It also dosnt have a single scratch! It dosnt have the knob so its not putting out alot, but its giving me bass. I order the PPB1 so i can adjust what freq the boost is at //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Guy at my local shop says they dont do rated without the knob, but it only sound like 400-450rms, so i believe it

heres the guy i picked up

70bucks and it seriously dosnt have a single scratch on it, guy had it installed by a shop and never touched it. The crossover wasnt even low passed lol

I had the P5002 from that generation and I can say with certainty that it gave me every single one of those 500 watts RMS bridged @ 4 ohms WITHOUT connecting the bass knob! In fact, since switching to Alpine HUs where the first push of the volume knob adjusts the subwoofer gain, I stopped using the remote bass boost knobs.
