Anyone running Batcap as primary or secondary batteries?

well from my experience. i had a everstart maxx from walmart in my truck and it was great altho i would get some corrosion on it. in my gf's car we have a yellow top 51r which was like 190 after tax. and i found it for like 160 online. and a kinetik hc1400 is about 200shipped on ebay. if it was up to me i wouldve went with the optima YT for 160shipped at autobarn. but of course your looking for a g31 so prices are gonna be higher

the people running optimas probably never ran any other battery to contrast between the two. Personally, I've dealt with the hc2400 along with r-t optima and y-t optima. For the dollar, i'd go with the kinetik. Obviously, the hc2400 is superior to the y-t optima because its almost twice its ratings in every aspect(also bringing up my score .8). My next battery i will be testing is the powermaster d3100. Seems people swear by it, so i will put it up against the hc2400 along with the two yellowtops.....

if you can expand your budget, look into deka along with powermaster. I agree with 350z on the order of batteries.

powermaster. find a used good condition d3100 for like 250 and you will never go back to anything else.......trust me, they are worth every penny

comparing the G31 yellowtop(largest line for Optima) to the 3100 (largest line for powermaster), just the stats alone show the difference. Now put them to the test and i'd put my best bet that the d3100 will outperform the two G31s.

can these all be used as a primary though? i'm going to have to upgrade and would much rather just replace the one in there with a HC or YT or something and run that and that only.

"I would put the new XS Power Group 34/78 D3400 with iBars under the hood. It will fit, as Powermaster adheres to group sizes in their larger batteries. The D3400 is good for 2500 watts as a primary battery and 4000 watts as a supplemental battery near the amps. ( given proper install, of course )

The Kinetik HC2400 is only good for 1700 watts primary, and 2600 watts supplemental and costs more than XS Power. The construction is all the difference.

Both XS Power and Kinetik will be easier to charge and keep charged. . so factory alt or not .. they are better than yellowtops.

If you still need more juice, the D925 is a great small supplemental battery near your amps. It's good for 2400 amp bursts / 2000 watts supplement.

yah i have had 0 problems with my powermaster 16v or my hc2400s. but thats because u get what u pay for in this hobby. if u go the cheap route u get cheap. if you go the expensive route either you been shafted by the dealer OR u bought a badass product.

either way u get what u pay for.
