Alright guy's so i've narrowed it down to 3 diffrent subwoofers they would all be two 12's

JL audio W3v3s

Massive CW's

Or

Alpine Type R's

What's the best bang for the buck out of those 3 if you guy's have any suggestions let me know that's just what i've narrowed it down to. Looking to spend $200or$250 either each or pair if i could get pair that would be great but for a good pair of subs i doubt that would happen.

yeah right....screw audiobahn's only reason that's my name now is cause i had those a while back first system i had i knew no better. but phantom which out of the w3s then and the Type R's get more SPL im looking to just try to compete DB races this summer just for fun nothing serious just want to try it .

I'm not completely sure what that means, but if you're willing to spend $250 for a single sub, you have better options than the subs you listed, depending on what kind of sound you're aiming for.

The CW's are better IMO due to the fact they can be reconed in about 5 minutes....kinda important if your into SPL and you are between runs and your sub blows, you can pop a recone in really easy. If you're not into SPL then maybe these arent for you.....but I got one pretty loud just off using a MTX1501d, id of probably been able to get more out of it with a bigger amp. But if you havent read my review and seen my video, you might want to check it out. Massive is a totally unappreciated company.

JL ftw.
I cant say much.... But I can say I have a w1v2, and out of every sub I have heard in person (which isnt many btw, lol) mine is the best sounding.. its a 12 btw.
Reading > you.

Surprised no one has hit on this one yet... what kind of amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif . Seriously though if you don't know what you have for power you should adress that first. Then go buy yourself some Type-R's and don't expect to be competitive.

haha thanks man. Well what it is i'm just a beginer at SPL comp's and i was wondering what was good at Db races? for my like the middle class you know i know my friend can blow away his 2 12's he's got to polk momo's but then again i got my amp just set right. So im thinkn right now massive , Type R's or The JL Audio w3v3s.
