Best bang for the buck....

I need recomendations for the best bang for the buck equipment....

I need :

Cd player

Subs

Amps

I already have a set of infinity components....

I also need a alarm

so far the Hornet 553T looks good. Anyone know where i can get this for a good deal ? i found them on ebay for around 100 bucks.......

Thanks alot and happy holidays!!!!!!

darn i thought u guys could read my mind.........doh....

Low budget ... i like sound quality more than bass.....i just want some good solid stuff... nothing that will blow or break in 2 weeks.....im not looking for a all out system just something for driving to work and long trips

Perhaps the eD Kx series ... they're on sale right now too. Possibly mate them with an Avionixx amp. If your budget allows, maybe the K series could come into play. http://www.edesignaudio.com

For a head unit, maybe the Alpine 9807 ? It's fairly cheap and would work well ... same for the comparable Pioneer. Depends on what you like.

Other subs include ...

Adire Audio Shiva - http://www.adireaudio.com

Image Dynamics ID/IDQ - http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com

Crystal CMP/CSe - http://www.crystalmobilesound.com

Possibilities are endless.

Hah, well low budget means different things to everyone. Though i would say about the minimum you would be able to spend would be around 600 to get decent stuff. Heres a list of stuff thats around 600.

HU: Check out Alpine and Pioneer's, both have pretty inexpensive models that are around 150 or so that you should be happy with.

Sub: I would say get a 12 because it is pretty universal. Look into the diamond cm3, Elemental Designs K, Adire Audio Shiva, theres a ton, but i thinkthose are 3 of the best around the 100-140 range.

Speaker Amp: Im not sure ifyou have on yet or not, but i would say look into profile or us acoustics. http://www.thezeb.com, should have a profile that puts out 100x2 at 4 ohms for a little under 100 which would be perfect for those.

or for a bit more money, but definetly worth it

http://www.millionbuy.com/sosrub3002.html- 130

Sub Amp: http://www.millionbuy.com/sosrub5002.html -150

have a ported box built @ http://www.gnomeaudio.com

buy wiring at walmart or http://www.knukonceptz.com

I think you would be very happy with that system, good luck.

For the subs you might want to look into the JL W0s. These are relatively inexpensive and do perform well. JL is a well respected name (mostly) and they make great sounding equipment. In my opinion they are the king of sound quality for subwoofers.

Though JL makes some pretty good stuff, their entry sub is nothign to brag about, and you can get subs that are a thousand times better than the w0s for half the cost.

A bit of an exageration, no? I'm not a really fan of the w0 myself, though.

Anyway, find a JL dealer and get them to order a pair of 10W1's. Much better sub than the w0 that replaced it and about the same price. They won't need more than about 250 watts for the pair so you won't need to track down a super powerful amp to run them. These subs are still availble by special order and they are SQ only. They're not going to rattle your fillings loose but they sound great.
