best bang for the buck 8"

On paper, the Neo Tang Band 8 will give the best output for your watt and have cheapest shipping. However that 3 year warranty by AA is tempting.

Overall I'm a sucker for Neo motors, so I'm not going to say anything at this point.

ok so i'm trying to keep 4 8" subs under $300

right now, the best seems like the assassins...with their warrenty and all...

because of my budget, the image dynamics is out and so is the rli 8 and the w7.

this is going under the rear bench of a honda ridgeline, down firing in a tube ported box

raven, can you give me a pro/con comparison between the neo motor tangbang and the tangbang i listed?

Almost all d class amps are efficient and 1ohm stable.
Pretty sure he meant an amp that produces the same amount of power within a range. Like the JL slash series and the PG Xenon.
To answer your question. Theoretically I think it would be more efficient at 4 ohms. However, because of the amp's design Im pretty sure it draws the same amount of current within the range while maintaining SQ. I doubt you would hear the difference...

thank you for clarifying, i think 4 assassins would be my best bet. Also how are the sq of assassins?

i got 2 assassin 10's and they get plenty loud...i'm sure 4 8's will get louder...
more cone area i'm guessing, and more woofers = more efficient (from what i hear, there was a thread about this....)

so now it comes down to the tang band 8" (that looks really beefy and solid) and the assassin 8" (which has that huge a$$ magnet for it's size and has a 3 year warrenty....)

i'll be sending them around 170 rms at 4ohms each....

also can anyone direct me to a thread or a guide on how to port a non squra/rectangular box? using tube ports?

thanks

i'm giving each of my 10's 400 clean watts...

chad said that the assassins should be able to take up to 600 each if you're not distorting it...

i'm guessing the 8 should be able to take 400 daily easily...

for what you got, i'd try the tb neo 8's just for fun...
