blown sub maybe..........

so i have 2 memphis Pr 15's and just recently one of the tinsel leads popped off the cone and the other just doesnt work. for the one that still has all the leads intact, if it was blown wouldnt the VC be locked up, b/c the cone is still moveable, there is just no sound. so is it blown, and the one with the tinsel lead problem, what would cause that, they were wired at 1ohm on a crossfire bmf600 and gain set half way, did i overpower it??? any help guys would be appreciated thanks.
