Its just overrated powerwise, inside you will find a common classD korean circuit board that works just fine.

Boss does not design their own amps, they use old amp designs from major manufacturers and get them built in China or Korea where the labour is super cheap.

The big problem with the quality is that they will take (for example) a 500watt RMS 2ohm stable amp and market it as a 1000 watt RMS 1ohm stable amp, then when people try to get 1000watts at 1ohm they start having problems.

If you cut through the misleading ratings and use the amp properly it will work and sound fine.

I have used cheap 5dollar RCA's for the past 10 years in all my installs and never had problems with noise.

Its all about the install.
