Best Amps for 12" Type R 2 Ohm

Hey guys, just a quick question. What are some of the best amps to run a single 12" type R 2 ohm subwoofer on? I am confused with the selection process having to do with ohms, watts, channels, etc. I would like to keep the budget under $300 CAD if possible, so maybe let me know of amps that have gelled awesome with the Type R...thanks a million!

The sub is actually the Alpine Type R SWR-1222D 12" if that helps with ohms, etc...thanks!!

1222 means 12" subs, 2 ohm, 2 voice coil. so its pretty much the same thing.

as for the amp, you can try the hifonics bxi 606d @ 1 ohm
