Best amp for SA12?

For 200 only the C.A.B. 1600.1 comes into play, its a solid amp have had 1 in my girls car for about a year n no problems. You are not gonna find better for the money just a fyi

I'd consider the CAB 1600.1... buy a dual 4 ohm SA-12 and load the amp at 2 ohms (1200 watts or so)... and if you want to add a second SA-12 you can go to 1 ohm (1500 watts +) and the amp will be perfectly fine with that load... it's a little over rated power but I think a little extra is good anyways... and those SA-12's have a great reputation at being underrated... just mount the amp away from vibration (no box)... for $199 I believe it's a good buy....
This is a good route as far as potential to grow

If the CAB is used and box mount is the only way... use rubber spacers to mount the amp (I have them above and below the amp mounting flange) with a washer on top...
god no.. $200 and thats what u come up with?, get ppi p1k like mine (same as the ss already suggested peeps here love the ppi$166) i'm running mine at 2 ohm it's strong (tested at 1162 @1ohm).. but for $200 u can also get a cab it's a big amp main reason i never looked at it but @shredder1 will tell u about them.. u could even get the skar 2k for $229 it tested at 2200 and run it at 2 ohms
audiopoop 1500.1 costs the same and does 1300 watts certified so idk man. Got love for ppi but they are beat in this budget amp category. Audiopoop doesnt actually tank electricals anywhere close to as bad as hifonics. As for reliability. My buddy is a complete noob, shorted power and ground, shorted speaker leads, dropped the amp, grounded the amp chassis, daily hard clipping. Massively overheat in hot california weather. Amp still kicking, will thermal protect after a 30 min ride in the hottest conditions but will function normally without any power loss after cooling down. Amp Was bought used as well and the previous owner bought the amp used as well. All in all 80 bucks well spent.

I used to talk sh*t on audiopoop but seeing how they are more stout when abused compared to koreans that usually pop or get stuck in protect if you do any of these things, I cant really rag on them and have to give them dues where they deserve it.

factory defect should be covered by warranty. If op wants an amp he should hunt the local craigslist. I always have better luck used than new. If its working then, it should be working now as long as you know what to look for and properly test it.

amazon seller jb tools told him to su*k it, and he had it installed at a shop.. also see if that memphis 1100.1 still fs here it's like $120 shipped, he's a good caf member

Did you ever decide on a amp?

I've been going threw the same debate I like the idea of the cab 1600.1 but that's a huge amp and not sure it's needed for my application I will also be running a single SA 12.

I'm torn between the audiopipe 1500 and the cab 1600 was going to run them on a 1 ohm load to 1 SA D2 12 and keeping gains turned down. But the option of buying a D4 sub and running the cab at 2 ohms will always give me room to add another sub in the future.
