Best amp for SA12?

Thinking about a Audiopipe 1500d or Hifonics 1515.1d.

Cheaper amps. Looking to get 800-1000 actual rms.

Suggestions?

Also, this is going into a hybrid. Does a hybrid have a greater voltage than a regular vehicle?

If you could go $260 you can get a nice 1k. One that will do what it says and not tank your cars voltage.

For that power on that budget I would consider the soundstream tn1200.1. I don't have real world experience with this amp but it shares a decent board with some other decent amps in that range. Honestly there are a lot of amps roughly in that price range.

god no.. $200 and thats what u come up with?, get ppi p1k like mine (same as the ss already suggested peeps here love the ppi$166) i'm running mine at 2 ohm it's strong (tested at 1162 @1ohm).. but for $200 u can also get a cab it's a big amp main reason i never looked at it but @shredder1 will tell u about them.. u could even get the skar 2k for $229 it tested at 2200 and run it at 2 ohms

I'd consider the CAB 1600.1... buy a dual 4 ohm SA-12 and load the amp at 2 ohms (1200 watts or so)... and if you want to add a second SA-12 you can go to 1 ohm (1500 watts +) and the amp will be perfectly fine with that load... it's a little over rated power but I think a little extra is good anyways... and those SA-12's have a great reputation at being underrated... just mount the amp away from vibration (no box)... for $199 I believe it's a good buy....

I saw the CAB, just seems like overkill.

I will probably have to mount the amp on the box. Not alot of other options unless I just want the amp laying around.

Me either... I just cruised thru all the other amps and goodies they sell and it is a candy store... I don't think they would sell garbage...

It's a cheap rebadge that's never in stock. Not worth worrying about.

Well the CAB is back in stock... it has been one of the forum "boners" for awhile... LOL!
