best amp for 3000RMS

I Have A 1600 Class D Amp By The Name Of Voodoo Which Was Put Out By Rockfoge Rosgate. Two Channels One Ohm Stable With A Warranty. I Let It Go For $500 To $600 Dollars. Just Make A Offer!!!!
LOL, do you know what I (or anyone else for that matter) could get BNIB for just a few dollars more? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif That is such a rediculous price for a used rebadged RF 1600 watt amp.

(If you'd like to actually make a for sale thread I won't crap on your price there, but here, I can say what I want.)

and all I wanna say is LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

(I'm just in one of those moods right now)

CC doesnt carry the 1200.1, 1250.1 or 2500.1 from my understanding. They dont carry the L7 or solo x either is what I have heard but they can order them.
Yes we do carry the KX1200.1 = that bad boy is in stock. I dont know if we can order the 2500.1, something says no.... We can order L7s but do not stock them. And soloX moofers dont even think about - we cant even special order them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

the MMats D3000 WILL put out 3000+ REAL WORD power. Ive seen one bench up to 3378 watts. how much does a zapco cost that pushes 3000 watts ??????
No it (de3000) wont do rated power (3kW rms) in joe blow's car - I'll put money on that.

Yup, like I mentioned before, I've DMM measured mine doing right at 3000 RMS to my current subs with gains set appropriately. I have no doubt it benches even higher still, in the right circumstances.
And defying its model number, it's only "rated" at 2500 Watts RMS (comp?).

My current Mmats D3000.1 has been one of my all-time favorite car audio purchases, over 20 Years. One of the most expensive, but still one I've had no regrets for buying. It also takes up as much room as most 1000 W amps. I'm still baffled how they did that and still get such excellent heat control.

Yea, it could be far less expensive to buy a couple amps that can deliver 1500 W RMS each @ your impedance (if your electrical system can deliver that + efficiency loss), since ~1500W amps are MUCH more common.
Why does everyone seem to think that all they need is a DMM to measure their amplifiers output??? NO. YOU NEED A CLAMP METER TOO. There is this thing known as reactive impeadance, that effictviely doubles the impeadance that the amp sees when it's plaing. Any time you move a coil in a magnetic field, the coil will generate a current and voltage that opposes the amplifer and effictively doubles (sometimes triples) the impeadance vs the frequency played. The amount of back EMF that the sub produces is entirely dependant upon the sub itself, the note played, the box the sub resides in, and the vehicle the whole enchilada resides in. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If I went off of VAC only, each of my 9.0s does 96vac into a 2ohm DCR load. Using your math of (P=V^2/R) my amps would be doing 4608watts each!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

In reality they do 96vac into the subs @ 47hz and 19.6amp. P=IVcos0 but for this we will ignore the face that voltage leads current in an inductive load so we'll just use P=IV... Power is 1880watts with a reactive impeadance of a little over 4ohms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif EDIT: and that is with a sagging powersupply - 10.9v by the end of the burp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Buy a clamp meter and be prepared to be dissapointed. the de-3000 should be roughly equivalent to a 9.0 and in the best case senario - about 300amps to support it - might surpasse the 9.0 by 500 watts.
