Best Alarm Without A Remote Start?

Well, I'm looking to buy a new alarm but do not want a remote start. I just don't need it, I live in FL. lol. Waste of money and a pain in the *** installing, so I'd rather just not.

But I'm not sure what alarm to go with, I guess my budget is from 0-300, but will spend more if it's needed for a good alarm and it's a big difference from a cheaper one.

Right now I was looking into the Clifford 12.5x, which is like $160 and looks pretty good, but what else is there?

Thanks!

if i were you i would install glass break sensors and extra horns/sirens. just got my whip broken into 3 days ago, broke back window and didnt have glass break sensor, alarm didnt go off.

viper 5900
Am I missing something? I'm pretty sure that has a remote start as I was looking into that one a couple months back.

And yeah I plan on getting a glass break sensors and a few of those backup sirens that don't run off of the +12v and use like backup batts or whatever so if they cut the power they will still be blaring. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

remote start is easier then you think, bacially you just need to cut the starter wire and connect the remote start in btween and make sure you have a bypass for security starting and hook up a few more wires and that `s it for the remote start,,, now the alarm can be a little tricky(type of door locks main problem).

Yeah but I heard specifically the bypass for my car was a PITA as my car doesn't like accepting teritary keys or whatever, i don't remember //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
