Best 8" slim subs?

So in my Chevy Colorado extended cab I only have enough room for a dual sub box to have 3.5" mounting depth with .66cf per chamber. I have looked at Kicker, JL Audio, Hertz, Alpine, American Bass & kenwood

Kicker= crap brand

JL = too expensive

Hertz = impossible to buy

Alpine = no slim in 8"

American Bass = no slim in 8"

Kenwood = dont make 8"

Any recommendations?

I will be using a box like this except for 8" subs. I figure theres no way a 10" would be able to perform well with only 3.5" mounting space and .66cf each

The Pioneer TS-SW2501S2 or TS-SW2501S4 10" will work in that small of a box. The Alpine slim 10" will work in that volume as well, but the price is a lot higher.

Do you think it would be better to have a 400 watt rms Kicker CompRT8" or a 300 watt rms Pioneer shallow 10"?

I don't do anything with Kicker but the Pioneer shallow 10 is pretty good when you're so tight on space.
