Best 6 by 8 solutions?

My car has 6 by 8's in the doors. What is my solution? Should I replace them with dedicated 6 by 8 sized speakers or go with a 6 1/2 component set if I can fit them in? The car is a 2002 Jaguar s type with a stock head unit. I"m not looking for any miracles, just something that does slightly better at higher volume levels.

Those are decent too. It's just up to you. I'd go with these instead of the kicker 6X8's. IMO

I'd do a 6.5" component set with the 6x8 adapters before I would EVER install 6x8s again.

dang... I just called crutchfield to ask about how much mounting depth I have and I only have a "hair over 2""! Dang it! I can't fit squat back there!

id cut out the door a lil more and put in a good set of 6x9s if at all possible

I ended up ordering 2 sets of 6 1/2" rockford fosgate punch component sets for $90 a piece. They come with the adapters too. We'll see how they sound but I bet it's a million times better than my crappy stockers!
