yeah for real the pioneer 720c's PG RSD6.5s and the ID ctx65cs's seem to be the best sub $200 sets. the 720c's can be had for about $100

where can you get the PRS for 100?

heres a real noob question: will the tweeters be getting too much power? and those that are using these comps, what do you have the x-over set at for the tweets?

in case anyones scared to click the link, amp is: a Sundown 125rmsx2, and the compnts are rated at 100 rms... figured it'd be good to overpower a little, but wasn't sure on setting up the tweeters???

i just ordered the pioneer d series. a couple of people suggeted them to me over cdt and even the image dynamics in that price range.. so i guess ill see what happens

I didn't think so either but they're 60 bucks cheaper so I went with them. If they're not too great I could just use them In my rear stage and get something better up front

That sounds pretty impressive. I'll have to look into them if I ever go back to a 2-way front stage. I remember reading the magazine review (vague I know, not sure which magazine), but they gave the Pioneer set a great score. I'm still a wee bit skeptical, lol...

If it's not too much trouble, could you break down the pros/cons of the sets? =)

i run my ctx components on a 125.2 and they take the power very well. they are loud, clear, and crisp. i have heard of people running more power than that but they take the sundown amp very well.

btw, anyone ever try to return to woofersetc? i bought that audio arc fd2200 amp and didnt realize how big it was, then i read that they dont accept refunds... but i found that sundown 125x2 amp for 200 so decided to sell the audio arc on ebay and buy the sundown amp. sux cause the amp is only at 120 now on ebay and i paid 180, so i'm currently loosing 60 on it... oh well, thats the price i pay for being so noobish..
