I picked up a set of JL XR650's for 220.00 on ebay brand new and I must say they rape the old PG Xenon comps I had and the Typ R comps I heard. The PG's cant even touch them in terms of clarity and mid range.

Focal 165v1's off of e-bay. Focal is known for their high - end component sets. Alpine, kicker, infinity, polk, ect. just can't match Focal, Eclipse, SEAS, component sets.

Best bet is to take your daughter to a sound shop who has these manufactures displayed and bring a demo disc. Listen to everything you can and write the model numbers down go on e-bay buy from a respected unauthorized dealer and bam, you got the best brand for the best price.

If your gonna do this than make sure you have some decentcy and dont waste any sales guys times. They arent there to cater to bottom feeders just looking to buy them from the net.

For a general sq setup, how do you guys think the Focal 165A components up front and the 165v1 coaxials out back. Would they complement each other well? You can find em for pretty cheap on woofersetc.

because they are tired of dealing with bottom feeders that waste their time and think they are know it alls because someone told them they were good on a forum.
