Hey guys, new to car audio, looking to upgrade my whole set up and so far am going with a TC Epic 10 powered by a PPI 900.4, the guys in the sub section recommended I use channels 1, 2 for component speakers in the doors and then bridge 3, 4 at 450w for the sub.

What 6 1/2 speakers would work best with the amount of power i'm working with? Looking to spend around 100-200 on these speakers + tweeters.

You'll need to buy or build spacers to fit aftermarket speakers. For your budget you can get components or a component+coaxial package. I recommend CDT Audio a lot as they give a lot of value for the money. With the current sale you can get the front/rear package for $199 plus shipping or just components for $149 plus shipping.

Any speaker set is going to need a safe high pass filter frequency on the amp as well as proper gain adjustment. That should not be a problem as long as the gain knob is not treated as a volume knob or "% of max power" knob. I have a customer who has a P900.4 powering stock speakers that has been operating that way for over a year with no issues at all, so it's about proper use of the equipment.
