Best 5ch amp setup

I plan to run 8" mids off the rear channels, and a 4" comp set passive off the fronts. Semi-active. The 4" comp set will be on the pillars, same plane, same angle so nothing to worry about for TA...I just won't have as much Xover control.

I just saw you have a 117...Alpine removed the active Xovers from that right? I'd trade for a 9887 if so. For your first active setup, doing the tuning through the HU is much easier. I've been 2-way for about 2 years now and I'm ready to try a 3-way setup. What kind of vehicle is it? Pics of your interior? I've heard a couple horn setups, and idk I just don't feel like the sound is for me. I admit one of the setups was obviously not tuned right, and was missing a LOT of midrange notes.

I have a 97 Jeep Cherokee.. So, I should have enough room. I guess trial and error is the key. BTW your sig is amazing. I saved it.
Do you find that your 2 way setup is adequate? Do you recommend a sound processor, i.e. Imprint, 3sixty.3? I've been contemplating a system like this, since I'm not too sure how to configure EQ's myself..[/QU

If you go active and don't have a delay processor built in...I'm just using the stock passives...the 8 band eq in my 4200dvd.

I was planning on building some A-pillar pods, and kick panels at some point, since I plan on removing all of my doors eventually. I like how they look and how the sound waves aren't blocked by my legs (that really annoys me!)

I have the 117 all right, and thought about the 9887, but I just ended up buying the pxa-h100 and ktx-h100 IMPRINT kit to dial in the sound stage for me. I hear far more good things about it than bad.

My vehicle is a 97 Jeep Cherokee. Here are some pics of the interior. They don't get a good under dash shot, but it's in the shop right now, so I can't get any new pics.

Unfortunately, I can't really get any better angles than that for now.
