Why not just get an amp that does 2k at 1 ohm and save your electrical the stress... ?

He probably can't wire at 1 ohm. His sub is probably a D1 so he can only wire to 2 or .5

Crescendo bc2200 should run fine at .5 on good electrical. It's $329 on the SSA store and there is an optional .5 ohm extended warranty.
