Bluetooth adapter/ Aux input

Hi all,

I added a Bluetooth harness to the back of my old Sony CD132 cdx stereo in my Mondeo Mk3... which deactivates the aux input on the stereo. I want to also add a steering control harness, to be able to use the skip controls, etc.

How does the Bluetooth adapter deactivate the aux input?

Is it possible to wire so the aux input works and the Bluetooth on one aux input?

Any ideas
