3" port is plenty the 12-16 rule is more spl oriented not sq anyway plenty of high output subs can use a smaller port area just fine.

so, wat would the advantage of 2 3" ports be? if any?

what is it in other situations?

2 ports will eliminate port noise totally in a box that small but 2 ports will each be longer than just 1 and may not fit.

they would not stay the same length each?

ex. 1 3" port @ 15" OR 2 3" ports @ 15"each or 30" total

hmmm. i'm trying to picture the physics of it. but my tired brain is refusing to grasp it as an image.

so 1 3" flared port @ ~15inches and NOT 2 3" ports @ 15" each?

1 3" port for a 2cf box tuned at 34hz is 6" long but 2 3" ports at 34 hz is 14.25" each port total of 28.5 length get it now?

true. i just have to keep reminding myself nothing is done through simple functions. everything is formulated.

Ex. 3" port of 15 and 6" port of 30" is NOT close to equivalent. sleep will help. i know these things. just questioning the reasonings. thanks for the input.
