I would like to stick with a sealed box if I can. I really don't have the room to put in a ported box.

All you need is another .5^3 ft and your good to go ported.

With the right sub and amp, you can get loud with a single sealed 15... but then again what is oud to one person, may not be loud to another.

That true. But imo the Fi Q 15 sounds pretty good ported.

I don't doubt that a bit... I would like to port my 15A someday, just don't feel like having another box sitting around that I'm not using... the boxes are starting to pile up as it is.

Well if you go sealed, it needs to be less than 3^3 ft.

ported is louder, and is you listen to mostly rap, trust us, go ported.

if you have max 3cubs to work with i'm sure you can find something in 2.5cubs ported and still fit. if you build the box right you probably wont notice any SQ loss from sealed to ported. if the box isnt well built, itll sound like shit either way.

i'm sure there's plenty of 15's out there that'll do well in 2.5cubs ported and tuned low with 1kw - 1.5kw

iirc mobieus (sp?) is in lakeland and makes solid boxes. hit him up

there's a guy in titusville thats does smal boxes for cheap. ls2powrcoat(sp?) or something, cant recall his exact user name spelling off the top of my head. but get in touch with him and make a drive.

I would say go with 2 ported 12's. You can easily do 3 cubes for 2 ported 12's and it would be louder than one sealed 15.

I don't know I was just kinda set on a 15" sub. I really only wanted to run one speaker so I was going to try to get the biggest one that I could fit in there.

One 15" will move more air then one 12" so I thought that the obvious choice would be the 15"

Haven't really decided which way to go yet, that is why I am trying to get some opinions before I take the leap.
