The Oz ME also works well IB. Look for woofers with very stiff compliance.

personally i would go with the JL...i had one myself. but really somebody broke into my car and stole everything...anyways the JL is nice kinda suprised what it can do just for 1 ten...

Eclipse SW8000 Linear Motor is the best sounding 10" I have measured.

I'm a bit biased here, but trust me on this one, because the $15,000 klippel analyzer isn't. (ran it againts a JL W6 and W7)

MSRP $350, can be found for under 300 np.

My second choice is of course a SS RL-i

I used to own a 10" IDv2 and I thought it was thin sounding. Perhaps the IDQ's are a big improvement ?

Since the last time I owned an IDQ I wasn't quite feeling it, I am thinking of either an IDMAX on the high end $300 and getting something like a PG Xenon 600.1- $199 to power it or an Infinity Perfect 10DVQ - $150 and somthing like a JL 500/1 - $330 for the amp.

Which combo would be best ? Also how heavy is the IDMAX 10 compared to the Kappa Perfect 10DVQ ? I am goint to mount either freeair onto my back deck and don't want anything too heavy there.
