best 10" RE

im might decide to put a custom q logic box in my 4runner to keep it nice an clean, and its got .65 of sealed int. volume. i want to use an RE sub (10" only), and was wondering what would work the best in this enclosure? i was looking at the sx or xxx...

...also will this sub be loud in that enclosure with ~1000wRMS?

That box is a little small for either of those subs. If you are gonna use a box that small i'd say get the SE.

i wouldnt seal up an SX, id take an SE or XXX, but why not just build ur own box? it would be MUCH better than a prefab

I just want know if a 12 inch SE would be louder than a 12 inch Alpine Type R? Which one would have better SQ? Both would be in a 1-1.3 cf sealed enclosure with about 600 watts rms. thanks

SE would own a type R....SQ would be close, SE's just hit so much deeper. no comparison really, especially if u port the SE.

Goto ur local CarAudio Dealers and ask them to build you a simple vented box it will cost around 100$ for the box , well worth it ........ Also depends on what you are after for a setup SPL , SQL , SQ ???

I was also wondering if you guys know the difference between the SE and SX? Would the SX be louder and have better SQ in the same enclosure? My guess is that the SX would be louder with more watts.But i also want to know if the SQ would be better than the SE.

What do you guys think? I want mostly good sq but i also like to have the sub to hit kinda hard at low-medium volumes. Thanks again for any input and suggestions.

The SX would have more SPL but the SE has more SQ. That box is too big for a sealed SE though, so the SX might be more fitting. Not to mention the SE's RMS rating is 600

I own da SX, my RCA inputs on my amp were busted, I finally got around to fixing them. Well my friends thought it was loud before it was fixed. Now they cant even sit in my truck. Its louder now than it was the day i got it. I guess the RCA connection wasnt too good. But now when i turn up the bass boost. The sound isnt as clean. But hits harder. I finally got to play "late nite tip" on it today. ****ing sweet song.
