bench pressing

leg press is where it's at, 2 years ago when i was a sophomore i maxed out the leg press in the schools weight room, ended up being 850, i played soccer throughout HS so building my legs is where i concentrated the most, now i bet i could do 950-1000. oh yea, i benched 200 though, doing a set of 12 i cant do above 165 though.

the core is where it's at though...as so I've heard; build up your core (abs, obliques and stuff) and it'll give you better stabilization when doing other exercises, in essence, making them seem slightly easier to do. I don't have any hard proof or evidence, but doesn't hurt to try.
can't mess with creatine & protein. can't trust that stuff no matter how much science says it won't do any harm

You're right about the core. I'm going to focus on this area to prevent any further back injuries. In a book I'm reading they say that the core is key to transferring energy through the body. If it's flabby then you will not be able to best transfer the energy from one area to another. The book puts it in much better words than I did though.

As for protein, it turns out the met-rx that I take has the glutamine in it. I'm not sure if the allthewhey.com has the glutamine in it, don't feel like going to check.

The key to protien supplementation is to take it more often rather than big servings. A persons body only stores enough amino acids for something like 3 hours of of normal chemical reactions happening in their body all the time. After that runs out they start to break down muscle to get the needed amino acids. Bodybuilders recommend 6 small meals a day for that reason, so you have a constant intake of protien so their body doesn't need to catabolize.
Absolutely! The body will only absorb as much protein as it needs. And, protein (lean protein) should be taken in every 2½ to 3 hours or the body begins to "eat away" at the muscle.

yea your body can only metabolize 30 grams of protein at a time so any more is really useless

i saw james henderson lift 700lbs. the bar was flexing like a mother! it was so sweet. i was 10 or something when he did it. i can do 800+ lbs on legpress and i dont even work out. its not easy because my legs are so long.
