beginner that needs help

im bout to get 1 12 pioneer ts-w306c sub and im bridging my amp to 400 watts into it and i was just wondering what kind of box i should get. all i listen to really is rap if that matters and i want the best bass i can get. and whats a free air enclosure??? cuz it always says not to get that. but yea thanks for the help

i would guess ported for the low end freq

Free air is just no enclosure, either that or something like an infinite baffle setup. Most woofers won't do this because the suspension is soft.

ported tuned around 32 would probably be your best bet...
