One more thing to consider:
Instead of using that Zune A/V console consider the Soundgate Zune Cable Pack--http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundzncblpak.html
It offers a line level input; the larger connector that plugs into bottom of zune instead of the often noise inducing headphone jack. The breakout box offers A/V connections so you can connect to your lcd display. A constant power harness is provided to power your Zune, which this harness can be easily connected into your head unit harness.
Audio output is via RCA connectors so you will need an aux connection into your head unit that will accept RCA's. Most major head unit manufacturers offer aux input to rca breakout boxes or adapters.
You will need to frabicate or purchase a dock or cradle for your Zune to sit in.
Personally, I use this kit from Soundgate and it works great with a cradle from Bracketron and a custom made mount bracket. The sound quality is great and integration into my Pioneer headunit was a synch. All said and done you're looking at $100 for everything. I love the sound quality of my Zune and having to pay more for car audio integration is the cost of having a newer (albeit propietary) device.
Or you could buy the ubiquitous IPOD and its usb interface that is integrated into almost all newer head units.
