Well, I just got a new single cab dodge Dakota, and I want to get a system again. For reference, my last system was a solid f2500d (should have never sold that) on an ia dp 15.

I'm looking for a single 12" that'll beat my brains out. It's got to get loud as ****. I listen to mostly rap/hip hop. Needs to not sound horrible, but loudness is the main goal. For reference, I thought the hdc3's and the last gen (not this curent gen) ia dp sounded fine.

Power will be circa 2kw give or take a few. I'm seriously considering one of those crescendo bc2000d's, or something like that.

Subs I've looked at that are on my radar are:

Another ia dp

Audioque hdc3

Ssa xcon

Ssa zcon (even worth the extra money with the power I'd be running???)

Dc lvl4

Sundown z (seems like this is a bit more sq oriented, and won't really get loud enough?)

Sundown ns (would 2kw even tickle this?)

Dd 3512 (although, I think the hdc3 will be a louder set up, so I'd probably lean away from this)

Anything I'm missing??? Thoughts?

I think I'm leaning towards the top 3 in that list.....

I would run a DC XL. They get down and loud, and sound good to boot.

i would take either the DC or the Xcon... just depends on what your looking for... DC will get loud, Xcon will have a lil better SQ

tc sounds closed there doors again a couple months back. get the sd zv3 it will get down and loud!

Are you the same dude as bumpinbuick from back in the day?

And no.....as much as I like George, an apxx is not something that would fit this install very well.

Bumpin101 and Bumpin buick are different people. Bumpin Buick is still around. I have a 12" DC level 4 with level 5 soft parts that gets loud in a sealed box. I can only imagine what it would sound like in a ported box.
