I use Acid Pro and Reason now, i used to use fruity loops. all of those are good. Fruity loops is more basic, while acid pro id say is the most complex.

To run pro tool he will need a Mac G5 and at least $1K worth of hardware, so i doubt he will be using that...

my brother works on a pro tools set up every day, PC built in to a 32 channel Mixer. I think it was around $100K for the whole setup....

i do believe he said "free"

I have pro tools on my PC and g4 powerbook. As well as Digital performer 4...works just fine. Oh, and I didnt spend NEAR that kinda cash for my system.

well i couldnt give you the actual quote, but its the whole studio setup that they sell. Its not his anyways, he goes to school at Full Sail, and the place he interns uses the setup. My brother is wayy to broke to buy that himself.

Sorry for Jacking the thread, but this is a pro tools setup like the one my brother uses. every thing is recorded on to the integrated computer, and processed and edited using protools. I wish i could give details, but i really dont know much beyond that. Ive seen him work, but its not his, so i dont have the option of messing around with it when its not being used.

now ill stop jacking the thread.
