Beat Creating software.

well for a lot of it you need a MIDI controller, but some of them are loop based (dr. rex as an example) , there you can find a loop you like, load it up and hit "to track" and itll copy as many times as it can between the L and R markers

for drumming, load up the redrum machine, load a patch on it, and then make your beat

ill try to find a better tutorial, but i hope that helps a little bit preston

logic pro 8 is out nowpro tools is the industry standard, not reason fyi.

live ableton is amazing for beats in realtime

and sonar 6 is beautiful....

http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/logicpro/

got this coming in about a week....
hey dumbshit, thats industry standard for RECORDING

we are talking about electronically making a beat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

alright - well i have been playing around with the demos of these- and most are very confusing. reason and fruity loops to be exact. fruity loops was a little easier to grasp - but seems more aimed towards techno?

Im looking for guitar- drums - etc

I want to use guitar and such to make a rap beat.

Something like atmosphere

Yah they are confusing when you are too lazy to take 15 minutes to read a tutorial on how to get started... lawlz..

just go buy a APPLE MAC and use GARAGEBAND it's free //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its really your only option.

If you dont have a midi keyboard you can use the software virtual one.. heh...

just go buy a mpc500 you will have more fun with that...

they are all free thanks to the interwebs

and fyi - i did every tutorial fruity loops had in it - downloaded more - and even used text based ones of the interent - the problem - as i mentioned - was it was all aimed at techno for one, and for two it only helped me learn WHAT THEY WANTED TO TEACH - not what i watned to learn

ng

merry christmas

just get a midi controller and if you want realistic instraments then your going to have to learn to play....

I have been using all sorts of software for music for well over 12 years now and reason is by far the best imo for making any type of beat... of course i would take a mpc and a triton over any software any day but there is more you can do with reason then 99.99999% of people on this forum will be able to do anyways... its a true powerhouse program for the serious future and present producer....
